Did I mention...

Much to my surprise, I managed to wake up before either of my co-workers today - which is startling for the factor that I generally assume that when someone with children says "I'm going to sleep in" they pretty much mean they're getting up around 8am instead of 5am like they usually do.

However, this does leave me with a bit of time before we motivate to get lunch and head off to our show (seeing The Producers this afternoon - just missed Tony Danza's run, but that's ok...I'm sure it'll be fabulous regardless). I've gotten some caffine into my system, and some food, and most important of all, nearly a liter of water. I am determined that I won't spend this trip dehydrated. It screws with my system.

And I'm realizing that I don't think I've really posted any sort of life update of late...at least not since the "oh crap...I crashed my car" posts.

So did I mention...anything at all about my life? )

Death & Taxes

[info]loneromeo did a massive clean-up job last night (yay! thank you!) and that's motivated me to get organized as well. I've got most of our stuff unpacked, but there's a list of small stuff that hasn't been done and needs handling.

I spent about an hour getting my files cleaned up (mostly in an effort to find my receipt for registration fees on the 'Stang for reference while doing my taxes), and I now have organized files and my shredder up and running. And of course the taxes got done...since that was what I'd planned to do first anyhow.
Paying the piper )
So now I need to clean up the broken candle holder in the garage (a box collapsed in on itself and capsized the stack on top of it), change the address on my last credit card, and generally deal with the to-do list on the fridge.

I think I'd rather go play with the Wii though. =)

Yesterday was a good day. I got to spend some fun time sniffing BPAL products with [info]mshathvri and [info]poeso (Poe and I have an order in for quite a number of imps), had some pleasant hang-out time with my favorite blonde, got to be all brainy and then excessively silly with Killian, drove Blaze to distraction with our silly voices (yay for Hex Hex!) and got properly introduced to Wii tennis. I have a couple sore spots just from the 15 minutes or so that [info]lairian and I were smoking our competition, and now I'm even more anxious to play with our console here at home. ([info]snoopyh42 brought his to [info]poeso's place last night.)

So rather than talking about how much I'd like to be playing... *wanders off to be a geek girl for a while*

I've seen a number of people on my f-list post about their addictions to BPAL.

At first, I couldn't figure out what it was...and then I found the website and looked through the collection, but decided that I shouldn't spend my money, and besides, there's SO MUCH to choose from - how could I possibly make a decision and not spend hundreds of dollars?

Then Neil Gaiman noted that they've created a line of scents based on his books/characters and that the funds would go to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. ("Mr. Ibis" and "Mama-Ji" look divine.)

Still, I could resist.

Then [info]mshathvri told me that she's become a fan...and she walked me through her imp collection.

...

I think I'm hooked. I even have a list of things to try. And because I can't possibly be the only one getting sucked in, I'm taking [info]poeso with me. *evil cackle*

I'm not sure I'll be posting reviews or anything like that...and I'll probably go broke adding this to my jewelry habit. But at least I'll smell good doing it!
